Rico

“Rico” aka Luis Angel Vegas Ramos like Coco is one of the gang from Puerto Rico.  Rico is a driven lizard, always going forward, as opposed to Skoot, who is always in Reverse, or backing away.  Maybe it’s his Catalonian, Africans, Amerindian heritage, but Rico is definitely one driving Puerto Rican.  Rico is also a big lover of color, and it is probably that love that drove him into the textile business, where he worked his way up until he was the CEO of Olympus Mills, the island’s largest textile company employing over 1000 workers.  Over the years Rico was thrice nominated and twice won the “Textile Industries Medal for Design” for his wonderful aesthetic designs that went on to huge commercial success.  Rico retired in 2017 and packed up to move to Bucerias, looking for a simpler life, leaving the world of thread, looms, and design behind.  You will find Rico at times wandering up and down Lazaro Cardenas examining textiles, or just sightseeing looking for unique color combinations.  You may at times see his influence on the different segments of the Bucerias artistic community, and even sometimes on the color combinations of Mexican real estate.
