Jigga

“Jigga” aka Miguel Angel Rodrigez Gonzales is a strange combination.  As a young lizard Jigga was always fascinated with cruise ships and somehow smuggled himself on a Holland America cruise ship traveling from America to Scotland.  There he was taken in by a family of marine lizards which in Scottish were called by the Gaelic name “Dearcmhara” It is pronounced “jark vara” (d͡ʒɐrk vɐrɐ).  The Dzerk vere family was very well off and allowed Jigga to participate in many extracurricular activities besides getting a good Scottish education.  In particular, Miguel excelled in the Scottish Jig and hence the nickname Jigga.  Jigga also loved soccer like his Mexican cousins back in the Americas, but he developed a unique style of dribbling the ball with his feet incorporating some jig steps into his moves.  Eventually, Jigga moved back to the Americas and finally settled on the beach.  Some days you may see him out with the boys playing on the miniature soccer field just south of Bucerias.  To this day all it takes is a couple of fiddles and an accordion and Jigga will be up dancing away.
